Good morning to all my faithful church friends out there. I just wanted to send out a little video announcing all the wonderful events and worship services we have coming up this week at Dacusville United Methodist Church for Holy Week.
Beginning this Thursday, April 2 at 6:30pm, we will have our Maundy Thursday service which will end with a service of Tenebrae where we extinguish all the light looking toward Good Friday and Jesus’ death on the cross.
And then on Saturday morning at 10:00am in the Fellowship Hall we will be having our Messy Easter Bash – The Big Reveal. You don’t want to miss this. Unlike previous years, we will begin with breakfast at 10, and then it goes forward on a schedule between 10 and noon where we will hear the Easter scriptures, we will do two or three amazing crafts that our Children’s Team have planned out, then of course we will end with the Egg Hunt where there will be some special prizes available for the children in each of the different age groups.
Then on Easter Sunday, beginning at 7:00am, we will have a Sunrise Service held near the cemetery outdoors there weather permitting. If the weather’s not suitable for being outdoors, we will meet inside the Sanctuary at 7:00am for our Sunrise Service.
That service will be followed with a biscuit breakfast at 8:00am in the Fellowship Hall.
And then everyone can plan to come back and join us for our Easter Resurrection Celebration at 11:00am which will be a wonderful time to experience God’s love and grace.
We completely are a “come as you are church” and we just want to welcome you and extend Christ’s love to you as we celebrate his resurrection during this Easter season.
