Jun 30, 2025 | Pastor's Corner

Good morning! This is Pastor Brian at Dacusville United Methodist Church.

Wow! We have just wrapped up an incredibly busy month of June. We had Vacation Bible School the first week of June with several kids out and had a wonderful time there. Then we came along to Summer Camp. The last two weeks of June were Summer Camp – the first week we had twelve children and the second week we had nineteen children. We did activities all day long, they were here 7-5. We had activities and devotionals, and cooking sessions, and music sessions, and other interactive games, and they also had free time and movies and books that were read. Everyone had a wonderful time. And then we wrapped up the month on Sunday with out fifth Sunday Singing Sunday where we sing even more songs in worship. Then we followed that up with a picnic. Since it was summer and it’s a perfect time for a picnic so we had a picnic, then the Youth went on to do a pool party in the evening.

And so now we begin to lean into July.

This Sunday will be July the Fourth and also we will have Holy Communion during worship so you’re all welcome to come join us in that.

Next Saturday the twelfth, I will be leaving with the Youth to go to Saugahatchee summer service down in Columbia where we will be working with a number of other youth and adults from across the state to repair three homes there in the Columbia area. Prayers will be appreciated because it’s preobably going to be pretty hot.

Then after we come back from that, another one of our youth will be attending Asbury Hills camp the week of July 20th.

Then we wrap up another month with our Back to School Bash on July 27th at 3:30 in the afternoon. Everyone from the community is invited to come out and enjoy water games and fun. We’ll have food and other activities. It’ll be a great time to wrap up the summer and prepare our children to go back to school together.

Hope y’all have a great week, and Pastor Brian will talk to you again soon.

Hope to see you in worship on Sunday!
