Well, hello, on this hot Monday afternoon here in the Dacusville community. Pastor Brian here, we’re continuing on in our second week of summer camp. We have many young kids here this week. They’re having a great time, and we’re working hard to keep them cool and inside and having fun at the same time.
I wanted to bring to your attention some upcoming events.
This upcoming Sunday we will be having our fifth Sunday Singing Sunday where we sing several of your old favorites and some new worship music as well as. We will also hear the word of the Lord through Abraham and how he accepted God’s call to move to Canaan to an unknown place, and how when God spoke to Mary through the angel Gabriel she simply said, “Here I am your servant, let it be with me as you say, Lord.” And so we will look at that in our worship service on Sunday.
Immediately following worship, there is going to be a church picnic here on the grounds. We will be having some homemade ice cream in that! If you’re an ice cream lover, maybe that’s reason enough to come out!
Then on Sunday evening at 4:30, our youth will be participating in our Youth Co-op with Easley First and Trinity Fountain Inn at Steve Pace’s home at 382 Albatross Road here in Easley. And we’re having a pool party! There will be food provided, there will be a devotional. If you are a youth – or you have a youth – sixth through twelfth grade, you are invited to come on over and join us for our time in the pool! I’m sure it will be a refreshing feeling to be able to be in the pool. I’m sure it’ll be a refreshing feeling to be able to be in the pool if the heat continues like it has so far this week.
