Hello, everyone, this is Pastor Brian again, and I wanted to come back and share with you.
I’ve been on a mission trip with the youth to Salkehatchie Summer Service to the Columbia Camp. We traveled there with two of our youth and three youth from Trinity United Methodist Church joined with us. In our works, we worked on three houses in the Columbia area, and made a lot of significant repairs to help those family’s out in their need.
This current week, we have one of our youth at Asbury Hill’s Altitude Camp.
We’ve very excited this coming Sunday as we come back with our Back-to-School Bash Sunday afternoon from 3:30-6:00 pm. There will be water games, there will be food, there will be other games, and a just a lot of fun and fellowship as our children prepare to go back to school. Pickens County returns back to school on the first and Greenville County follows soon in a couple of weeks, around the 11th, I believe.
We’re celebrating our children in Worship that morning. I would like all of our children and youth to bring all of their backpacks to church for a Blessing of the Backpacks moment during our Worship Service.
Also, this week we’re back to our 11:00 am Wednesday Devotional and Prayer Group meeting.
Then tomorrow evening, we have our evening fellowship meal at 6:00 pm followed by a no-prep Bible study on the book of Titus. So I’d like to invite you all out to come out to dinner tomorrow night and enjoy a baked potato bar with all the fixin’s, and a wonderful dessert and salad to go with that. Then we will go into our short study on the book of Titus, and then continue on from there.
We have a lot of stuff coming up. There will be a number of meetings coming about soon. On Monday evening, our planning team will be meeting to discuss our church schedule and calendar up through the beginning of Advent this fall.
I look forward to seeing y’all in Worship. I encourage you to come and check us out and see what we’re all about at 11:00 am on Sunday mornings.
God bless and have a wonderful week.
