Good morning, Pastor Brian here. I just wanted to take a moment before we begin Worship today to give you some exciting news.
Many months ago, the Trustees and I began a lengthy process of writing a grant to renovate our Fellowship Hall. As you know, many of the appliances and other things are beginning to wear out. We have went out to them and asked for this grant to allow us to renovate.
The great and exciting news is that last week we recieved a significant amount of money to go towards our project to renew the Fellowship Hall! And therefore we are going to be meeting soon with the Trustees to develop a priority list for the things that we had identified that we would like to do there. And then we will have additional Trustee meetings to get that stuff in place to move forward.
The current plan will be that the renovation will begin the week after the Chinese Auction which occurs on April 18. So therefore beyond that point, for a little while, the Fellowship Hall will not be be available for use for our church activities, but we will be able to get completed before we move into our summer season with Vacation Bible School and other things.
It’s just a great opportunity for us to be able to improve our facitilies, to enhance our Worship and community outreach activities here in the Dacusville Community.
I just wanted to share this all with you, and it’s a very exciting update.
