Hello, this is Pastor Brian here at Dacusville United Methodist Church. We’re very excited to prepare for Back-to-Church Sunday this coming Sunday, September 21, and I thought I would do a brief walk-through to welcome you to our campus here at 1339 Thomas Mill Road.
Whether you’re coming from the north or the south, as you come into our parking area, you will find at the front of the church some guest parking spaces. If you are a guest with us, I encourage you to use these spaces; however, you may park wherever you like.
Here to the left is our access parking and ramp. Right up here on the right, we have a ramp and a door. If you don’t like to climb stairs or if you need the building to use a ramp, we have one ready and waiting for you.
As you come to our church, as you walk up the steps, as you come up on either side, we have doors or both sides, you will be welcomed by our hosts. As you come and enter the building, here in our narthex, you will find our bulletins along with an information station. There will be hosts here in this space.
Here is our restroom facility, and we have a coffee, water, and juice station. I encourage you to help yourself and make yourself at home.
As we then come on into our wonderful sanctuary. Be assured that you are free to sit anywhere you would like here in this space.
As we continue on down, you can see our altar area with our altar table and our pulpit, and piano.
During our church, we will have a time of Children’s Moment and they will come and children and youth will come and gather on these front two pews, and the leader will be here leading that effort.
I mentioned the access door, this is where it comes in. If you come in that way, there will be bulletins right here ready for you use.
Then I thought I would show you where our Children’s Church and Nursery space are. Either before the service for Nursery, or at the appropriate time during the service, the children will come up here with our servants, the children will go through the conference room and down these steps into our children and youth area.
As we arrive down here, this is the Children’s Church room where they will come during the sermon time and receive their own very special message and perhaps do some crafts and games.
This is our Nursery space that will be staffed and ready for anyone who has an infant to two year old.
Then as we journey up the hall, we have restrooms here, boys and girls.
And this is our Youth and Multipurpose space where our youth hang out and often the older kids come in here to do crafts or lessons.
I hope this walk-through provides some assistance for you as you come to join us.
Now concluding our service, our children, if they have gone to Children’s Church, will be brought back to join us during the last hymn. If you have a child in the Nursery, you will need to go down and collect them from the nursery assistants.
Then, we invite you to come out through the narthex again, but this time exit to your left and go down the stairs. And we want to invite you to come back here to this building in the back which is our Fellowship Hall and join us there for our luncheon which will be held immediately following worship and everyone is invited to come and join us in a wonderful lunch!
